Taiwan excels in the manufacturing industry globally, earning a reputation as the "Kingdom of Screws." Locations such as Kaohsiung's Gangshan and Tainan have become major supply hubs for screws and nuts worldwide. The origin of Taiwan's fastener industry can be traced back to the 1950s when low-quality fasteners served as the entry point. In the late 1960s, Taiwan independently developed molding machines, leading to improved production capacity and quality, entering the mass production stage. By the 1980s, over 500 businesses had invested in Taiwan's fastener market, forming a complete upstream, midstream, and downstream industry chain. Due to high quality and low costs, Taiwan began attracting orders from international giants, contributing 30% of global production capacity and securing its position as the world's number one producer.
